Hi Princess,
I am in a similar position but in a different field.
You can do a few things.
1. maintain connections with fellow students at uni.
2. if there is a marketing students club, join it.
3. sign-up for ‘Linked-In’, its a good place to develop your professional profile and network. If you add couple of well networked people in marketing, you will get access to their professional networks. - I am doing the same now, and its pretty useful.
4. register as a student member of a professional association in marketing in your area. (e.g.: AMA local chapter)
5. register for few websites on marketing industry - this will also keep you updated on new trends, jargon, strategies, etc.
